Day 18
We are earth
Spend time with the photo

Remember the earth whose skin you are:
red earth, black earth, yellow earth, white earth, brown earth,
we are earth.
Remember the plants, trees, animal life
who all
have their tribes, their families, their histories, too.
Talk to them,
listen to them.
They are alive poems.
To pray you open your whole self
To sky, to earth, to sun, to moon
To one whole voice that is you.

first Native American Poet Laureate of the United States 2019,

The three biggest opportunities you have to live more sustainably are in:
-
Your energy use
-
Your transportation
-
Your diet
Play a game:
Think about your life in the remainder of this month of September.

In the next 13 days, would you identify just one adjustment you can make to:
-
reduce your use of energy.
-
reduce the carbon footprint of how you get around.
-
find opportunities to "buy local" / avoid excess packaging / eat less meat.

If you would, then there, you've made one more contribution.
